Craig Wright Joins CTO Meeting on 11th September

Such is its popularity that organizers are adding extra events, including:

  • A forum called “War of Words: The Future of Bitcoin Cash” after the main summit on the 10th,
  • A “CTO level and above” meeting the following day, to discuss technological and development issues.

The “Technology Only!” meeting will happen on Monday 11th September from 8:30AM to 5:30PM. Presenters include nChain chief scientist Craig Wright and Blockchair’s Nikita Zhavoronkov, plus representatives from Bitmain, BTCC, ViaBTC and OKCoin.

Response Much Bigger Than Expected

Beijing summit CTO meetingBitKan’s Sandy Liang said she and her company were surprised by the amount of interest in the event. Guests are even flying in from Europe and the U.S. to attend.

A thread on Reddit yesterday showed some were still unaware of the event. Bitsonline can report anecdotally that at least one company expressed disappointment at missing out on tickets.

The event will showcase China’s significant role in getting Bitcoin this far. With controversy still surrounding the recent hard fork and its outcomes, China could continue to have a great influence over the industry in the coming years.
