The entrepreneurial and networking possibilities in the cryptocurrency space are seemingly limitless, and that dynamic’s been true for years. Zhao: “I Decided to Quit My Job”

It’s certainly not a traditional path to ditch the status quo and jump headlong into the cryptoeconomy. But that’s the path Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has taken in his life, and it’s an experience that speaks to many young Millennial professionals today who are trying to adventurously chart their own careers.

But a career in crypto is not a piece of cake. The hours are long. It will take time, money, energy, and perhaps even a bit of your soul to make it all work.

In Zhao’s experience, he had to go all-in. But it’s been worth it for the young CEO, who just described on Twitter how it was formative experiences at the 2013 Inside Bitcoins Conference in Las Vegas that helped position him for the success he’s enjoying five years later:

Zhao had been responding to Chainstone Labs CEO Bruce Fenton, who had started the conversation:

All fair points. It just goes to show that when it comes to the cryptoverse, the blood, sweat, and tears put in today can become exponentially more valuable career-wise in the future.

Speaking of Conferences, Blockstack Berlin Looked Stacked

March 2nd saw internet play Blockstack host what turned out to be an illustrious Blockstack Berlin event. Headliners included thought leaders like Nick Szabo and Elizabeth Stark, who made presentations on trustlessness and the Lightning Network respectively.

Former C.I.A. employee turned techie on-the-run Edward Snowden also participated in the event via livestreaming, who notably remarked during his talk that it was an “enormous mistake” for cryptocurrency projects to war with one another.

Snowden: collaborate, don’t fight.

With how well the entire conference was received in the space, Blockstack Berlin will certainly be one to keep an eye on in the years ahead.

What’s your take? Have you ever been to a bitcoin or cryptocurrency conference of any kind? Was it a worthwhile investment? Sound off in the comments below.
